SURVEYS AND INSPECTIONS
Warehouse Health and Safety is vitally important, so once your warehouse racking and shelving systems are in place and in daily use, it’s vital that your infrastructure is inspected and maintained on a regular basis.
Depending on the level of activity in your warehouse and the nature of your warehouse operations, your racking inspection should be carried out at least annually, and in many cases every 6 months.
As the business owner or manager you could be held liable for any injuries resulting from accidents under the 1974 Health and Safety at Work Act.
Acorn Warehouse Solutions offers racking inspections to the SEMA code of pratice to help you comply with the Provision And Use Of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) 1998.
Our racking inspections are carried out by qualified and experienced experts, and include:
- Full assessment of your racking infrastructure

- Recommendations and guidance on damage prevention and protection systems to minimise future repairs
Nuts & Bolts: Racking Inspection Services

Most damage to racking occurs when it is accidentally struck by vehicles.
A careless manoeuvre in a forklift truck can damage supporting struts or cause stored goods to shift, affecting load-bearing ability and structural integrity of your warehouse racking or shelving.
Nobody wants accidents to happen but damaged warehouse racking is at risk of collapse and poses a danger to employees. Get your shelving and racking systems inspected regularly!
